As a part of the activity series of Ho Chi Minh City ADS Business Alumni Group sponsored by the Australian Development Scholarship Program, a seminar on Private Equity “The ‘Private’ Growth Engine of the Vietnamese Economy: Investment into the Private Sector” will be organized on Friday the 4th of April 2008, 6p.m. - 9 p.m., at Oscar Hotel, 1st Floor, 68A Nguyen Hue St., District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.
The guest speaker of this seminar is Mr. Thomas J. Ngo, Director and Equity Fund Manager of Indochina Capital, one of the largest foreign investment funds in Vietnam. Prior to joining Indochina Capital, from 2004 to 2006, Thomas was a senior associate at Heritage Partners, Inc., a US.4 billion leveraged buyout firm specializing in controlled investment in family-owned middle market companies in the US. From 2001 to 2003, Thomas worked as an investment banker with Lehman Brothers Inc. in the financial sponsors group, focused on leveraged finance and mergers and acquisitions transactions. In the seminar, Thomas is also sharing his career path choice in the private equity investment area and the case study of Indochina Capital. You also have opportunities to chat about the job opportunities in various departments in Indochina Capital.
The seminar will be a great opportunity for Australian alumni to re-unite, enhance and exchange their professional knowledge as well as for networking and meeting with distinguished people in various business areas, many of them from private equity firms and large corporations in Vietnam.
The hand-outs of the presentation will be sent prior to the seminar. The seminar entry is free of charge as it has been sponsored by AusAID.
