Australian Consulate General would like to invite VGAC’s member to photographic exhibition entitled “Australia – Land of Contrast” at the Youth Cultural House, 04 Pham Ngoc Thach, Dist. 1, HCMC.
The exhibition will conclude the Australian Consulate General’s cultural program celebrating the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Australia and Vietnam. The photo exhibition will be open free to the public from 20-27 February 2009.
The exhibition includes 38 photographs selected from the prominent Australian photographers including, but not limited to; Steve Parish, J.B. Anderson, Chris McLennan, H.W. Ziegler, Nick Rains and Barry Skipsey. For the first time, local residents will have an opportunity to view a comprehensive collection of Australian images, ranging from familiar City Scapes such as the Sydney Habour Bridge and Melbourne architecture to the very unique Australian outback and breath-taking Australian coastline. Australian icons such as the kangaroo, Sydney Opera House and Uluru are not missed in this exhibition.
We hope the photo exhibition will bring Australia even closer to Vietnamese people. For those Vietnamese who have visited or lived in Australia, the photo exhibition will stir memories of this beautiful country. For those who have not yet traveled to Australia, we hope the exhibition will give an insight into the wonders of Australia and entice them to choose Australia as the destination for future adventures.
