VGAC Tennis Tournament in Australian Embassy in Hanoi May 2010
The Open Tennis Tournament was organized by VGAC in Tennis Court of Australian Embassy in Hanoi, on May 9, 2010 for some former graduates from Australia. The competition took the form of doubles, from the Board Stage, with 3 winners’ teams from each board and the best team of runner-ups then procedding the knock-out stage in semin-final and final rounds. In spite of the extreme heat of Hanoi that day, the games were particularly fantastic, and some were even very tight, as the players demonstrated their excellent skills and tactics. The two best teams, Le Chi Dung – Le Huu Trung and Hoang Anh Tuan –Nguyen Quang Bao, went on to the final match. The Australian Ambassador to Vietnam, His Excellency Allaster Cox, then presented the awards to the champions, and runner-ups. The great barbecue in the garden of the Embassy and friendly conversations among old fellows also added in the value of the tournament.
