In celebrating its 25th year of growth and development, Vietnam’s Graduates from Australia Club (“VGAC”) is hosting a special event to mark this milestone on the 16 th December 2016 at Hotel Nikko Saigon in Ho Chi Minh City. We are honoured in welcoming the Australian Ambassador to Vietnam H.E. Mr. Craig Chittick, amongst other privileged guests from agencies of Australian Government in Vietnam.

We are also welcoming representatives from the Friendship Associations – Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hung, Former Deputy Director of Department of International Cooperation, Ministry of Education and Training, currently Vice President of the Vietnam – Australia Friendship Association; Mr. Nguyen Van My, Director of the Asia-Africa Department, the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations; Mr. Le Hung Quoc, President of HCMC Unions of Friendship Organizations; Mr. Phil Johns, Executive Director of Auscham Vietnam; representatives from Australian universities/institutions and companies in Vietnam as well as VGAC members.

The celebration “25 Years – Empowering Australian Alumni Spirit (1991-2016)” is a significant event for VGAC to celebrate 25 years of continued growth and development, of achievements and successes in promoting friendship, collaborative relations, and mutual understanding between Vietnam and Australia. The event is an opportunity to express VGAC’s appreciation to the great support and partnership during its operations in the past; to retell our journey since 1991. This is also an opportunity for our members to enjoy the Australian atmosphere, and recall the best memory of living and studying in Australia.

In order to celebrating this special event, our members have designed their own performances to present. On this occasion, VGAC is also very proud to present the VGAC Library in featuring 6 books published by 3 VGAC members: Ms. Nguyen Phi Van (Alumna of Central Queensland University), Co-Founder of World Franchise Associates and Founder of Franchise & Retail Asia; and Dr. Tran Thi Huyen Thao (Alumna of Monash University & University of Sydney), Pediatrician at International SOS; Mr. Ngo Thanh Hoa (Alumnus of Central Queensland University), Winner of MasterChef Vietnam 2013.
